Explore Activity Overview
Explore activities are intended to provide an interactive overview of the R1 topic models. The purpose is to provide a high level understanding of the model and encourage users to reflect on their own experiences as they relate to the models.
Explore Activity Step 1 – Topic Overview & Model Introduction
Here users will be presented with 4 cards, they will have to select each card and read both sides before proceeding to the next card.
Users will have to select each card to reveal it and then select it again to read the backside before proceeding to the next card.
Engage with the Four Topic Overview Cards:
Topic Card: Topic introduction with an overview on the reverse side.
Expert Card: Discover the expert behind the topic's research.
Definition Card: Learn the core concept and definition behind the topic.
Model Card: View the topic model and the model categories.
Note: Utilize the magnification and Text to Speech options under each card as necessary.
Once completed reviewing these cards, you're ready to advance to Step 2 by clicking "Go to Next Step".
Explore Activity Step 2 – Model Definition Overview
Learn about each Model Category:
Explore individual cards representing each category of the model, revealing the name, definition, and examples pertinent to the category.
Users will have to select each card to reveal it and then select it again to read the backside before proceeding to the next card.
To read a card, select a card to reveal it, and then select it again to turn it over and read the back side. Both sides must be read, before advancing to the next card.
Model Card Category Front: Displays model category name and definition.
Model Card Category Back: Provides examples of behaviors/items associated with the model definition.
Note: Utilize the magnification and Text to Speech options under each card as necessary.
After reviewing all model definitions, you're ready to advance to Step 3 by clicking "Go to Next Step".
Explore Activity Step 3 – Select Cards
Reflect and Select:
Choose 2-3 categories (following the instructions) from the model that resonate with you or align with your self-development goals. Select these using the checkboxes below each card.
Note: Utilize the magnification and Text to Speech options under each card as necessary, and select each card to read the other side.
After selecting your cards, you're ready to advance to the questions by clicking "Go to Next Step".
Explore Activity – Questions to Explore
Introspect and Respond:
Post exploration, users will be asked to answer three self-reflection questions as they reflect on what they learned exploring this activity.
Upon completion, select "Finish" to proceed to the activity report.
Explore Activity - Interactive Final Report
The final report is an interactive overview of the activity that was just completed.
The final report is broken into a handful of interactive areas for review:
Selected Cards and List
Interact with your selected cards, or read the definition in the selected card list below the cards.
Read the front of the card, and then click the card to read the back.
Use the magnifier option below the card to zoom in on the card for easier reading.
Questions to Explore
The questions which were explored following the initial results now become part of the final report and can be reviewed here now or any time in the future.
Model Overview
Re-engage with an interactive version of the topic model. The interactive model enables users to click on any category in the model image to review the model category definition, or users can simply read the definitions from the below the model image.
Additional Report Features
Download Report: Users can select the 'Download Report' button to download a PDF copy of their results.
Play Video: Users can select the play video button to watch the topic video from their report.
Once users have reviewed their final report, they should select 'Go To Profile' to proceed to the Home Dashboard to take additional activities, or track their progress.
Activity Survey – Share Your Feedback
Contribute your valuable feedback through the activity survey that appears while reviewing your report. Your input assists both R1 and your organization in enhancing the learning experience for all users.
