My Security

An overview of the 'My Security' page within 'My Profile'.

The My Security tab in the My Profile section of R1 Discover will provide an overview of how to manage your security such as your password or implementing two factor authentication (2FA).

Accessing My Security

1. Navigate to the 'My Profile' page from the dashboard.

2. Click on the 'My Security' tab.

OR

1. Hover over the profile icon in the top right corner of R1 Discover

2. Select "My Security" from the dropdown menu

Changing Your Password

1. New Password: Enter your desired new password here.

2. Confirmation Password: Re-enter the new password for verification.

3. Click on Update Password to save the changes.

Password Criteria:

1. Password length of at least 8 characters

2. At least 1 Uppercase Character

3. At least 1 Lowercase Character

4. At least 1 Number

5. At least 1 Special Character

Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

1. 2FA - Email Token: Select 'Yes' to enable or 'No' to disable two-factor authentication via email.

   1. You must have a valid & verified email setup in your profile (My Personal Details tab)

2. Click on Update to apply your 2FA preference.

3. On your next login, a token will be emailed to you. You'll need to be input it to access your account.

Remember to save any changes before navigating away from the "My Security" tab to ensure your account security settings are updated.
